  3.    This disk contains WinEdit version 2.0K, 
  4.    and several associated utilities and files.

  6.    WinEdit is a fast and powerful ASCII/ANSI text editor.  It is available
  7.    in three different levels of functionality:

  9.        Lite     - A super Notepad replacement.                        $29.95
  10.        Standard - An excellent choice for the occasional programmer.  $59.95
  11.        Pro      - If programming is your life, you need WinEdit Pro.  $89.95

  13.    WinEdit Lite provides super fast editing of any size text file - handy
  14.    button bar for common operations.

  16.    WinEdit Standard adds the ability to compile programs directly from
  17.    WinEdit and view the output to fix errors.

  19.    WinEdit Pro adds a complete macro scripting language to allow the
  20.    Professional users to write their own WinEdit menu items.

  25.    SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  27.    WinEdit requires an IBM PC or compatible with a minimum of 2
  28.    megabytes of RAM, a rodent, 1 MB of hard drive space and
  29.    Microsoft Windows version 3.1 or higher.

  35.    graphically construct dialog boxes, (a lot like the Visual Basic dialog

  50.    WinEdit 2.0 is a major update from previous versions.  It is a "free
  51.    for the download" update for previously registered users.   Users who
  52.    registered WinEdit prior to the 2.0 version are automatically registered
  53.    at the WinEdit "Professional" level.
  54.  
  55.    Users who wish to use WinEdit at the "Professional" level may find that
  56.    since the documentation for the WIL based macro script language is quite
  57.    extensive (about 225 pages), they may desire a printed manual.  We
  58.    will be making an optional disk/manual package available to previously 
  59.    registered users at a reasonable price. Notification postcards will be sent
  60.    to the last known addresses of registered users during February 1993.  The
  61.    postcards will inform users of the availablity of WinEdit 2.0, and offer
  62.    them the chance to purchase the disk/manual set for $20.  If you are a
  63.    registered users and did not receive an update letter by March 15, 1993,
  64.    then somehow we missed you.  Call (800)-762-8383 and get it straightened
  65.    out (or call anyway if you wish to jump the gun and purchase the 
  66.    disk/manual package immediately).

  73.    Most files will end in a _ (underscore).   Some of them have been
  74.    compressed and will be expanded by the setup program, whileas the
  75.    others are simply renamed.  In any case, the setup program
  76.    (WSETUP.EXE) should take care of moving the files around.

  137.                HOW TO INSTALL WINEDIT
  138.  
  139.    Use our WSETUP.EXE program, which will copy the files for you and install
  140.    a WINEDIT group in the Program Manager.
  141.    To use our WSETUP.EXE program...   (Manual install instructions below)

  143.      1) Close down all extraneous Windows applications.
  144.  
  145.      2) Double-Click on the WSETUP.EXE program
  146.  
  147.      3) When the setup program asks for a directory, specify initial
  148.         directory, or accept the given default (C:\WINEDIT).
